To login enter your user name as shown on the left and your password. (The username is the entire phrase shown ie "Jim of Sue and Jim")
If you do not know your password click the "Request new password" button and you will be asked for your email. A temporary password will be sent to your email in box. (Actually, there is a link in the email that, when clicked, takes you directly to your user page where you can create a new password.)
A test email should be sent to the admin role using the newly implemented send email by role module and the actions and worjkflow modules.
This is a test to see if the workflow and actions module will work. The idea is that the workflow module will trigger a designated action at points in the editing process. In this case it will send and email when a page is commited and will publish the blurb.
I had thought a new section called announcements would show up at the editing post. Since there is only one option for action, the announcement section is not needed.
Next step, try the send email by role action.
Create a external email list to actually do the mailing.
What happens if the recipient is not logged in.
Edits are not sent.
In an attempt to provide a nice profile module, I installed:
profile -It has the features but the new version wouldn't install correctly.
flexinode: Thismodule which worked well in vs 4.6 is not being supported in 4.7. I tried the non supported version and it wouldn't install.
cck is the replacement for flexinode. I installed it and it "almost" works. Found a fix, but I still get a "white"screen at the end of the set up screen, even though it appears to create new content types, with fileds. Entry works fine. But retrieval using views says no entries are found. I think the problem is going to revolve around the type being "provile" for instance in one place and "content-profile" in others. I did a search and found no postings of others with the problem. FOr now I'll wait for some upgrades.
Installed the CCK (Beta) module as a replacement for Flexinode module
Problem with the search module(probable) causing a system timeout.
I enabled the search module and set it to index the site.
Then I started having problems with loading, and with timeouts.
We put in all the users and now the profile module is not working. I tried it in onion with no problem, so the code base must be OK.
I backedup, emptied, concatenated the data base, then reenabled. It still won't update. Items put into the data base directly show up just fine.
Could it be something in the users directory, ie it is'nt gettin the correct user Id or something???
These modules are all interrelated.
1. Enable each of the modules.
2. Go to accesibility and give permissions for each group
3. Go to settings - if there is an entry - and configure as needed
4. Go to menu's and enable menus - this is the only way to get to the user list.
In use.
1. To update your own profile go to my account. There is a about me tab. There is also a tab to enable others to send email, individually, to you. Note, this is not the same as the email to all list which is handled completely seperately.
2. To view an other persons entries, about me,or to sens an email to them, click on user list.
