Design Considerations
*A nice flow thru the camp by two diagonals. One the emergency egress road which will be the camp promenade, and the other a opposite diagonal placement of vehicles and tents.
*The perimeter is pretty much ringed with vehicles.
*An emergency egress road. After setting up leaving early would not be easy, but would be possible.
*The community structure is ringed by anchor vehicles. This will provide support and wind blockage as well as allowing 12 volt power for the lights.
*Dan has made LED lights for the interior. Nice.
Pre 2006 - We each did our own thing for food and "dined" together on a hit or miss basis.
2007 - Skip made a couple of community dinners. We liked the food, the camaraderie, etc
2008 - Skip did all the community dinners and breakfasts. It was very nice and greatly appreciated to have community dinners, socialization, etc.
UPDATE: We are having No community dinners and No community kitchen for 2009. Folks wanting to eat together can plan for about 7:00 -bring your own food.

*******2008 Camp *********
We're already almost at capacity and it's only Fall of 2007. Priority goes to past members, friends of past members, visitors to our Brie, Bach, and Talk of previous years who have expressed an interest in camping with us, and folks who write us a really interesting introductory letter!

Here's a little bit about our camp:

Hi Everybody,
Well, today is actually Sue and myself's first free day since Burning Man.
So, I thought I'd send out a "wrap up" email, a "check in" as it were.
First, for everybody that sends me a CD of your BM pictures, I'll add it to a composite disk and send the collection back to you. It's interesting to see all the places, things, activities, etc that others saw. I would plan to put them all together in about two weeks so anybody interested try to get the CD's to me soon.
Second, on the trip back, Sue and I thought up a bunch of questions about peoples feelings about Burning Man, "The Elders", etc. So I put some of them together as a questionaire.
Hi Everyone,
Our Burning Man address is Chance and 9:00 in Sector Tokyo. This means our front will be on "Chance" somewhere between 8:30 and 9:30 on one or the other side of "Chance". Below are links to a 2006 map,a list of all theme camps, and a bit about MONEY.
....
Here's a link to a areial photo by Brad Templeton of the elder's theme camp area. Look at the middle right part of the photo. (Back arrow to get back here)
